The PesArt & Ceramics Journey

Meet the Founding Artist

Empowerment Through Creativity

In its current structure, PesArt & Ceramics has been sowing into the lives of others since 2014 offering creative classes to many in the community.  Its founder is Prue McLeod, a qualified art teacher, ceramicist and exhibiting artist with over 25 years experience teaching children, adults and many specialist community groups.  Prue and her team are passionate about teaching others new skills, and encouraging and empowering them.

Originally established in 1994, Pes-Art existed in a slightly different form, Pes being made up of Prue's initials.  One initial has since changed but the name evolves.  "Pes"  is defined as part of the human leg below the ankle ie. the foot.    Our mission is to help others and empower them not only in creative endeavours but in other areas of their lives.  Our  vision is to give participants who attend classes regularly, feet to walk forward confidently on their artistic journeys empowering them also on their life's journey.

Recent Happenings in the Community - Women in Business Awards

I was so grateful to attend the Women in Business Awards event by 'We Rise Networking Gympie'. Thank you to all the organisers and sponsors. It was such a great event recognising the amazing achievements of women in business in the Gympie region. PesArt & Ceramics sponsored the Powerhouse Woman award won by Lucie Santowski of La' Squeegees Cleaning. We Rise is such a great supportive organisation for women in business.

The event was held at Kingston House Impressions Restaurant - Saturday 2 December 2023
